In October 2022, the YouTube channel of Mexican broadcaster Televisa uploaded an old video titled ¿Qué piensas de la infidelidad? (What Do You Think About Infidelity?), originally aired in 1988. It features a series of street interviews filmed in Mexico City, where people were asked what they thought about infidelity, marriage, and relationships.
At around the 55-second mark, a man appears in the background who bears a striking resemblance to This Man. For a few seconds, he even seems to look straight into the camera.
A lot of people noticed the resemblance, and since then hundreds of users on YouTube, TikTok, and other social media have pointed out the eerie similarity.
Of course, it could simply be a coincidence. But the question is hard to ignore: could This Man really have appeared in a Mexican video filmed almost forty years ago?
