In 2018, Weekly Shōnen Magazine began running a five volumes manga based on This Man, It was illustrated by Kouji Megumi and written by Karin Sora.

It’s a story about an investigator named Hakaru Amano who works with facial composites, is asked by a mother and daughter to draw the face of a man who illegally trespassed on their premises. He comes up with the face of “This Man.”


There is a danish book titled “Den Der Falder” (“The One That Falls”) of Michael Larsen that tells a story about This Man. It a thriller published in 2020.

This is a Synopsis:

“Julie Viver suffers from sleep paralysis, and the man who chases her in her dreams is terrifying – and real! But an advertising man claims that the man Julie is seeing is a big hoax that someone made. The problem is, Julie started seeing the mystery man before the ad man did his trick…”

Something odd happens in “This”, the second episode of Season 11 of The X-Files. There is a picture on the table close to the couch where Mulder and Scully are sleeping while a concert of Ramones runs mute on tv. In the picture there are The Lone Gunmen with an extra face. It’s This Man poppin up. Eric Adams of AvClub says he could be the key to decrypting the whole season of The X-Files.

In the third episode This Man pops up again. This time he is on the bass drum of a rock band during a concert in the opening scene. Fans went back to Episode 1 to search for more appearances and they found one in Moulder’s bulletin board. This is the same place where he appeared in Episode 4.
